Process Lasso for Windows Server
Control how applications run on your servers. Rules and algorithms such as the CPU Limiter keep users and applications from monopolizing server resources, enforced by a background service.
Built for servers
Create rules that control how applications run on the server, enforcing settings and limits of various types, including CPU affinities and priorities.
The Process Governor applies process rules and algorithms as a non-interactive system service, even when the GUI is not running. The GUI is entirely optional.
Install silently with /S, push or pull the INI configuration by script, and Process Lasso reloads and applies it when the file changes. See the Deployment Guide.
High CPU use
Several features of Process Lasso limit or mitigate the effects of high CPU use on Windows Servers.
Limits a process’s CPU consumption by dynamically constraining its CPU affinity (the set of CPU cores it can use). For hard limits on CPU use, this is recommended.
Improves responsiveness during high CPU loads by temporarily lowering the priority of background processes that monopolize the CPU. It is active without any configuration.
Persistent rules give you a greater degree of control over how compute resources are allocated.
Key features
Helps maintain system responsiveness during high CPU loads.
Switch to the Bitsum Highest Performance power plan while demanding apps run.
See how responsive Windows is, measured continuously and shown in the graph.
Automate CPU affinities, priorities and other process settings.
Switch power plans automatically when specific apps are running.
Take action on a process when a threshold is reached.
The CPU Limiter, Instance Balancer, Group Extender and more.
Log process launches and other selected system activity.
Use a faster power plan while the server is in use and a power-saving one when it is idle.
Everything it does
Trial and licensing
The trial edition includes all features of the software and expires after 30 days, so you can evaluate its full capabilities before you buy.
Server Edition is only required for Windows Server operating systems. The installer detects the system and downloads the correct edition. For Windows 10 or 11, get Process Lasso Pro instead.
Virtual machines are licensed the same as physical machines.
