How Licensing Works

New to PECompact? See what PECompact does, or request a trial first.

What Counts as an Application

An application is an installation package, which may include any number of distinct modules compressed with PECompact. Choose a license by the number of applications you publicly distribute.

Updates and Renewals

Every license includes one year of updates, and the last version released during that period can be used indefinitely. The One Product, 3 Products and Unlimited Products licenses renew automatically each year at the regular price. Cancel at any time from the Subscriptions page, or contact us.

In-House Use

If you won’t publicly distribute any applications compressed with PECompact, choose the In-House license (No Distribution at checkout). It covers any number of modules used within your own company or home, for a one-time payment.

What PECompact Compresses

Any standard 32-bit PE, which means any native 32-bit Windows module (EXE, DLL and others). PECompact does not work on 64-bit (PE+) modules or .NET assemblies. Compressed modules run on Windows 95 to Windows 11.

Trial and Verification

To deter abuse, we verify that customers are legitimate software publishers or developers. Request a trial to try PECompact before you buy.
