Feature Requests For Version 9

Would be nice if you could select more than one process at a time, and terminate all of them "simultaneously",  suspend and reactivate a process (as in Linux). This is useful, for example, to temporarily suspend a task that uses system resources when you don't want to terminate it, and three different ways to close a process, as the "termination request", the standard "forced termination" with dialogue tolerance, and the "forced termination" of any type of process, bypassing all permissions (it can also terminate running system processes). This would be good to be added for version 9

You can already select more than one process at a time, right-click, and terminate them all (and many other operations).

Suspend and Resume is also supported in the 'Less common actions' process context menu.

We once had multiple ways of terminating processes, and could have expanded on that, but decided to try a one-size-fits-all model where it attempts graceful, with user option to terminate immediately at any time if that fails. We can perhaps add more options to that.

Thanks for the suggestions, and if I've read anything wrong, let me know!

Thanks for the reply That is great it alrwady does things. We once had multiple ways of terminating processes, and could have expanded on that, but decided to try a one-size-fits-all model where it attempts graceful, with user option to terminate immediately at any time if that fails. We can perhaps add more options to that. More options to that would be great. Looking forward to see what version 9 brings.

Thanks ;).

Definitely we need to document the capabilities of our software better too. Many/most people are unaware of the multi-select option.

The only caveat is that since I added it later, I didn't support ALL operations on multiple selections, but Terminate is one that is supported.

GDI management:

- live monitoring of system-wide GDI usage per process
- ability to limit GDI resources per process
- ability to limit GDI resources per group of identical processes
- ability to pre-allocate minimum GDI resource availability per process
- block new processes when minimum GDI resources are unavailable
- ability to increase total GDI resources significantly
- historical logging of GDI usage

An old one but on a small screen the main window is too wide (and tall but that is a minor problem)
Any chance of a narrower window PLEASE even if only used for status?
Thanks

Another thing that would be mighty useful would be if the log contained system resource level changes.  This would aid in identifying process problems.

Eg., Process Lasso could be set to record periodically (which would be a user modifiable variable down to at least twice per minute) total system RAM.  Ideally, we would also be able to tell Process Lasso to record system resource level changes based on percentage changed.  If total system RAM usage suddenly increased 25% in 15 seconds this could be recorded to the log.

Thanks for a great program!

I completely agree. I can't say more yet (it pains me when I get ahead of myself), but I have something awesome planned I've kept a well-guarded secret, and - well - it'll take care of what you'd like to see. Whether it is done by v9.0.0.0 is the only question to be honest.
