What is the Pro version? How free is free?
We don't want there to be ANY surprises with Process Lasso. We offer a free build of Process Lasso, and a paid/registered build called Process Lasso Pro. The free build becomes the Pro build after it is activated using a special code that can be purchased online from us. Home users can use the free build indefinitely, though they will eventually experience some nags and a reduction in available features (see chart below). Notice that the most popular features remain enabled indefinitely. Server Edition users have 30 days to fully evaluate the product before it expires. Process Lasso Pro is well worth the cost and your purchase helps support continued development. Process Lasso was the FIRST utility of its kind, and we'll keep breaking new ground with your support.
NAGs are non-annoying in that they only appear in two places, and are quick-skips (single click bypass with no timers of any kind). I personally use the free edition so that I make sure the nags are never annoying. The only times they are shown are:
- After a few days, a message is shown at startup. You simply click OK. No timers, ever.
- After 14 days, advanced features (shown below) are disabled.
- After 30 days, a message is sometimes shown when you open Process Lasso from the system tray.
- NEVER do we just pop up a nag out of the blue, when the user did not interact with Process Lasso - or anything like that.
- NEVER do we put timers on any dialog or 'nag'.
- NEVER do we bundle with toolbars or other software.
Process Lasso PRO (the purchased version) offers extended features and special optimizations. Its up to you whether you want to invest in it or not. We hope you do.
